Hand-dyed fabric, cheese cloth and pearl cotton threads, variegated thread, beads, and text.

  "In May of 2005, we visited Gulfport Miss. Enchanted by the lovely homes and the calm waters of the Gulf of Mexico. We enjoyed a stroll on the beach looking at the ripples made by the water in the sand.  We found many broken shells. My husband and I enjoyed the quiet of the Gulf and the solitude. For there was not a soul in sight.

     Those moments are not to be for a long time, as nothing there is the same as we saw it that day.  Our memories will remain.

     This piece is comprised of shells we found, seed beads, and hand made clay beads from Mexico.  I hand dyed the fabric and thread.  Llama and Alpaca wool is used with other batting.  I love nature and it is always at its best, when quiet on a May day. Ever changing, timeless, and full of energy, the wild crashing of the sea, when driven by a storm."
