Creating with mixed media textiles, in vivid colors, gives Vivian Helena the opportunity to draw from her variety of artistic talents. Fiber art, photography, gourds and jewelry design are some of her passions. Living near Yosemite National Park, and beside the Fresno River, Vivian’s love of nature is evident in all of her art pieces.
The kite series wall-hangings demonstrate her diversity with beading, yarns, found objects and painting. Many of the fabrics she dyes herself. “Kites are so playful and expressive, we all would love to fly free and enjoy the beauty of the skies.” “It is all a celebration of Life. The Joy in art is sharing with others”.
Her work is featured in “Showcase 500 Beaded Jewelry”, and “1000 Artisan Textiles”. Vivian teaches at her home studio, and her art work is in Timberline Gallery, and Madera Circle Gallery in California.
